About Me
I have always been fascinated by our very existence and the wonder of it all! My journey to better understand the physics of the Universe has guided me towards sharing this passion with the wider world. The Universe we exist in is one full of wonder and mystery, just waiting to be explored, understood and shared. My research has focused on observational transient astronomy, fueling my fascination for the unknown. I use new and exciting machine learning techniques to help identify only the most interesting sources, hoping to uncover the rarest stellar activity and cosmic explosions in the Universe.
Expert Science Communication
I am a passionate science communicator and am dedicated to sharing the wonders of astronomy and astrophysics to a wide audience. As a astrophysics expert I have presented on various national/international TV news programs, have regular segments on ABC radio and Joy FM, and of course to the public via face-to-face and online presentations. I am also a freelance science writer and consultant.
Currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre for Astrophysics and Supercomputing at Swinburne University of Technology.
